April 2018 is the Month of the Military Child (MOMC)

SITUATION: The military recognizes MOMC as an opportunity to highlight the commitment, contributions and sacrifices that military-connected youth make for our Nation. Our children’s accomplishments will empower them to become tomorrow’s leaders. The strength of our Nation comes from the strength of our Service members and their Families, including military-connected youth who serve as heroes for the future.

WHO: MNNG

WHAT: Month of the Military Child – April Observance 2018

WHEN: 01-30 April 2018

WHY: Month of the Military Child is recognized to acknowledge military children’s sacrifices, resilience, and strength of character; and to show commitment to maintaining the support that Service members and families deserve. Building resilience through strengthened Service member and Family programs that are simple and easy to access will help build heroes for the future.

During the MOMC there are a number of activities and events scheduled for our military youth and family members to participate and celebrate the MOMC.
