Lead Where You StandโJoin an MNEGA Committee
Want to grow your network and sharpen your leadership skills outside of your drill weekend? MNEGA committees are the “engine room” of our association. Whether itโs Legislative advocacy, Scholarship management, or By-Laws oversight, our committees are where the real work happens.
Currently, our Board members are pulling double duty to keep these moving, but we want your voice in the room. This is the perfect entry point to get involved, understand the associationโs inner workings, and make a tangible impact on the lives of Minnesotaโs Soldiers and Airmen. Our Events
National EANGUS Conference
Daytona Beach, FL 31 JULY – 3 AUGUST 2026ย
(Travel Dates 30 Jul & 4 August)
The Purpose: National Impact & Professional Growth.
What Happens: Delegates from all 54 states and territories congregate to finalize the National Legislative Proclamation. It is also a premier professional development event, featuring senior leadership speakers from the NGB and the Pentagon.

State Business Meeting / Conference
24-25 April 2026
The Purpose: Grassroots Governance.
What Happens: This is the most important meeting for the individual member. It is where we vote on our associationโs bylaws, elect our leadership, and debate the resolutions that form our legislative agenda for the coming year.
The Goal: To maintain a member-led organization where every Enlisted voice has a vote in the direction of the association.

National Legislative Workshop
The Purpose: Advocacy in Action.
What Happens: We gather at the State Capitol to bridge the gap between the uniform and the legislature. Members receive briefings on current billsโsuch as state tax exemptions, education incentives, and veteran careโand meet face-to-face with lawmakers.
The Goal: To ensure that those who draft Minnesotaโs laws understand the unique sacrifices and needs of our Enlisted force.
Regional Area V Caucus
The Purpose: Regional Unity.
What Happens: Minnesota joins forces with our neighboring states (IL, IN, IA, MI, OH, and WI). We meet to discuss shared challenges and align our legislative resolutions before heading to the national stage.
The Goal: To build a “Midwest Block” of influence, ensuring our regional priorities have the numbers they need to pass at the national level.
Executive Board Meetings
The Purpose: Stewardship & Strategy.
What Happens: Your elected Board of Directors meets throughout the year to manage the associationโs finances, membership programs, and corporate partnerships.
The Goal: To ensure the MNGEA remains a transparent, fiscally responsible, and effective organization that is always ready to support the membership.
