Guidelines for Scholarship:
1. All individuals must be scholastically eligible. Individuals must be a High School Senior, hold a GED equivalent, or be
enrolled in a post secondary institution. A GPA of 2.5 during the most recent quarter or semester is also required.
2. Applicant must be an active member of the MNGEA its Auxiliary or the legal dependent of a MNGEA or MNGEA auxiliary
member during the year of the annual conference.
3. Forms must be filled out completely and accurately and be postmarked by May 1st of the current year to allow the
committee time to review the forms for completeness.
4. It is our policy to award scholarships without regard to race, creed, color, sex, or age. Only one application per person is
allowed each year, and you can be the recipient of a scholarship only once. (Previous winners are not eligible)
5. An Essay explaining what your educational goals are and how they will be benefited by this scholarship is required. The
Auxiliary Executive Board and one member of MNGEA will select scholarship winners.
Criteria for selection will be based on GPA, Essay Composition and Content.
6. Winners will be announced and certificates will be presented at the State Conference. If winners cannot be present to
receive their certificate at conference, it will be mailed to them. There will be no other notification sent.
7. The scholarship must be used within two (2) years from the date of the certificate. It will be sent to the school of your
choice.
