Washington Guard Supports Wildfire Response

CAMP MURRAY, Wash. – As wildfires spread across Washington state, Washington National Guard Soldiers

A UH-60 Black Hawk assigned to the 1st Battalion, 168th General Support Aviation Battalion, takes off to support a water drop mission on the Modrite Fire in Ferry County, Washington. Since 2012, more than 4,500 Guard members have partnered directly with the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, delivering steadfast relief to Washington residents and dropping more than 4 million gallons of water on state wildfires.
